“R-loops are fascinating because they hold the power to shape genome stability and gene regulation.”
small RNA pathways that guide Argonaute proteins to specific target, repressing gene expression and maintaining genome stability. In C. elegans, the Argonaute HRDE-1 enables heritable gene silencing crucial for germ cell function. This project examines if R-loops enhance or repress HRDE-1’s activity.
