“I chose to focus my PhD research on R-loops because I find them a fascinating and complex topic. The complexity of this topic lies in the fact that it involves the simultaneous study of RNA, DNA, and proteins as R-loops play crucial roles in key molecular processes such as transcription, gene expression regulation, and DNA damage response.”
